Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Dream Engine, an inference API for video world models operated by Dream Engines. By creating an account or sending requests with an API key, you agree to them.
The service
Dream Engine returns generated video frames in response to your inputs. Pricing is metered per generated frame and documented at /pricing.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and authorized to enter into a binding contract on behalf of yourself or your organization.
Account & API keys
You are responsible for keeping your API keys secret. Activity from a key is treated as your activity. Compromised keys can be revoked from your dashboard at any time.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Generate content that infringes copyright or other IP rights.
- Generate identifiable likenesses of real people without their consent.
- Generate sexual content depicting minors or non-consenting adults.
- Violate applicable law in your jurisdiction.
- Train or fine-tune a model that competes with Dream Engine on the outputs we provide to you.
- Probe, scrape, or otherwise attempt to bypass rate limits, quotas, or auth.
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach without prior notice. We may also refuse a specific request if it appears to violate this section.
Payment
Pricing is metered per generated frame and prepaid via a credit balance. Each request pre-debits its expected cost; engine errors trigger an automatic refund of the debited amount. Top-ups are non-refundable on cancellation but never expire.
Ownership
You retain rights to the inputs you submit. You retain rights to the outputs we generate for you, subject to the upstream model’s license (linked from each model’s page on /models). Some open-source model licenses impose restrictions on commercial use, attribution, or output distribution — you are responsible for checking the model license you choose.
Service availability
We provide the service on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee specific uptime, latency, or output quality at this time, and may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to the service is capped at the amount you paid to Dream Engines in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. On termination, your remaining credit balance is forfeit unless required to be refunded by applicable law. Sections that by their nature survive termination (Ownership, Disclaimer, Liability, Governing law) do so.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Last updated: May 6, 2026.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are subject to binding arbitration administered by JAMS in San Francisco, California, on an individual basis — class actions are waived to the extent permitted by law.
